Want more commissions?
This journal is for artists who want to get more commissions, or want to open commissions and never had so they don't know how best to present their art, or even for those artists who took commissions before but would appreciate some more tips :D
There are a few pretty important things to consider before publicly announcing you're  opening commissions:
1. payment method. The deviantart commission widget takes 20% of your profit, but then again more deviants have points so you're likely to get 20% more customers like that. But don't forget there are people who have paypal and don't feel like dealing with points so if you decide to open commissions through deviantart, don't let that be the ONLY payment method.
Paypal is the most common payment method used online and i strongly recommend it. Make a paypal account, connect it to a card and you're ready. But don't forget paypal has a limit of $3000 per year withdrawal. So if you're serious about drawing art for a living and you

Six Ways to Earn More Commissions
:new: Hi there! If you enjoy this article, please take a moment to check out my career-change goal for 2016 and possibly help me out! http://www.woohooligan.com/2016/da Thanks!
If you’re serious about earning an income with your art, then you have to be serious about marketing yourself. If you’re like me, you hate selling… you don’t like rejection, it makes you nervous and you think you’re no good at it. That’s why we’re artists and not salesmen. Fortunately marketing yourself is kind of an art form. Although I don’t have all the answers, I’d like to share a little of what I’ve learned about the art of marketing ourselves.
:bulletblue: Be Seen: First, make it easy for people to find you. Create a deviation with a list of the different kinds of commissions you offer, with a sample and a price for each. Put this deviation near the top of your profile so that everyone knows you’re open for commissions. H

WW1 Doggos - German Shepherd

This is my 6th and final WW1 Doggo - Representing the German Empire, it's the German Shepherd. Over 2 million German Soldiers went to their graves during the 4 years of the war. My great-grandfather also fought in the war and he lived with a bullet in his lung his whole life - the bullet was deflected by a spoon - otherwise it might have hit his heart. This was a pretty interesting project for me to do - hope you liked it.

Feedback and critique are very welcome!

Let me kick this off by saying that quality-wise, the cintiq is pretty much shit. Besides dead pixels that may come with the software the most usual problem is a poorly attached glass screen on top of the LCD.
I, for one have only one corner of the screen not properly glued but after a year I have about 20-30 specs of dust already on my work area. Most of them are down near that corner but they're progressing rapidly to the center of the tablet.  It's pretty frustrating working with them on. I only expect it to get worse actually since there's no way to properly attach taht particular corner.
There was one guy on the wacom forum who got A FREAKING SPIDER under the glass - alive also! Many many people also have this problem along with screens that don't even stand in place, jittering along the edges...
It seems silly to me to sell a 1000 euro piece of equipment that's so poory designed. Most laptops are cheaper and sturdier than this thing and also do more. I was thinking a Microsoft surface will also have pressure sensitivity (wacom technology actually) and might actually be better since... you know... it's also a pc and all that. What one might miss are the shortcut keys.

I really regret it because I'm sure there are people out there who have no problems with their tablet. But to be one I actually have to PAY to send my unit in Germany and also possibly PAY for the repairs (even though I'm still in warranty). I had high expectations of wacom quality-wise. But also in the terms of customer service they apparently suck. I've got a 12WX but BIGGER and newer models also have this dust problem.
I don't like the idea that if I get a faulty product I have to PAY to get it normal. It's not my fault in the first place that it was made that way... I really hope I'll be able to solve this.
